Driven Wild Boar hunting in Italy

Exeptional Wild Boar hunting in the heart of Tuscany - Italy

Wild Boar hunting at Castello di Vicarello

Welcome to Castello di Vicarello an incredible accommodation, decorated from Tatler magazine as one of the “101 Best Hotels of the Year’ in 2012 and best Spa Hotel in 2010. This12th century Castello surrounded by vineyards and olive groves, by beds of fragrant rosemary and lavender, is a true small corner of paradise. For the traveler with unique and refined taste a passion for good food and wine and a sense of adventure, this is a destination where the formal becomes informal, and Tuscany is more Tuscan. Sensitively restored and elegantly decorated the guest suites feature original stone and brick walls and a tasteful mélange of antique and modern furniture, with an oriental touch testifying many years spent in Indonesia.

Valle di Buriano is Castello di Vicarello’s 1300-acre hunting reserve in the Maremma region of Tuscany. The Reserve sits 300 meters above sea level. This beautiful wild estate surrounded by Mediterranean woods, offers the region’s tradition of wild boar hunting. The hunting season starts in September and ends mid-June. The hunt can be organized for any day except on Tuesdays and Fridays (days of hunting silence). One or two persons can attend the hunt called “caccia alla cerca”, or for groups of 7 to 25 persons, the cacciarelle can be organized. In this case the hunts are conducted from traditional wooden watches called “palchetti.”

This is an outstanding experience. Thrilling traditional Wild Boar hunting in a beautiful area accompanied with superb lodging, food and wine…
